TMI - At 16 I had 2 choices:
a. Enter an elite high school with an academic scholarship.
b. Completely devote myself to arts and prepare to become a professional dancer.
I chose b.
After completing my college studies in a well known contemporary dance school in Mexico, my purpose and motivation had been suffering for a long time. The birth of my son refueled and enhanced my motivation. And my husband's suggestion to try programming reminded me of my purpose: to create and protect. Dancing fufilled part of it but programming fufilled it all. In today's chaotic and unstable world I see learning about technology and web security a necessity for everyone.
